Quick start for admin of campaigns
Manage a campaign
Now that your page is created and you've received your Game Plan, here's what to do next...

1. Accept invitation and log in

  • Check your email for a "FanAngel Admin Invitation" from support@fanangel.com.
  • Click the button to accept the invite, and follow the prompts to create a password (or log in if you already have an account).

2. Review your page

  • Once logged in from the invitation link, you should be directed to the admin portal for your page. (If not, and on subsequent logins, click your name in the upper right corner. Then click the gear icon next to the campaign you wish to manage.)
  • Click the campaign "card" in the upper left region of the admin portal to view your page as others will see it.
  • To return to the admin view, click the gear icon under the large image/video region.
  • Edit any fields you want to customize.
  • Remember to click SAVE to publish your changes.

3. Add a video

  • On the About tab of the admin view, you can paste a YouTube or Vimeo link -OR- upload a video file.
  • Acceptable file types: MP4, MOV, WMV, AVI, and FLV
  • If you upload a video file, note that it may take a few minutes to process before appearing on your campaign page.
  • Videos should be filmed in landscape/horizontal orientation for the best viewing experience.
  • Videos that have been sent via text may be compressed/blurry.

4. Review your "share" email

On the Email Template tab, review/edit the message that will go to participants' contacts when they are invited to support your campaign.

5. Invite participants to join

If you have your participants' email addresses, you can invite them to join the campaign directly:

  • At the top of the Tracking tab, click "Invite."
  • Enter their name and email address. Only add an individual goal if you wish to override the default individual goal. Then click "Invite" to send an email invitation.

If you don't have participant emails, post or share the "/join" link—provided in your Game Plan email from your campaign coach—in a place only participants will access it. (The join link is NOT the same as the ones you share with donors.)

6. Set up Stripe for direct deposit (if applicable)

  • Anyone using direct deposit to receive their funds must set up a Stripe account before the campaign launches. (If you are receiving a check, you can skip this step.)
  • On the Beneficiary tab, click "Connect with Stripe" and complete the process.
